The plan was to hold a press conference explaining our position and then go for a ceremonial swim in the Bassin Louise. However, Léonce had been notified in writing that if we entered the water, we would be arrested. Apparently, since the Port didn't have insurance to cover recreational use of the Bassin, they couldn't risk having us swim there.
