3 April. -- I haven't calmed down since this morning. Perruque, while I was dead, maneuvered to get the inauguration of the Mérimée Museum moved to April 18. On this festive occasion, the old rascal was well aware, I was to give a very important speech which would have opened the doors of the Académie to me. But on April 18, I will be in limbo.
